Fabrication of painted carpentry executed mainly for the support of the second skin of the building. Structures for the roofing of ancillary buildings such as the greenhouse, the nursery, the guardhouse and the restaurant were also built, as well as provided structures for various internal technical compartments and stairways.
The project was conceived by architect Renzo Piano.
The weight of the structure is about 1,200,000 kg of painted and unpainted structural steelwork, and there were elements as long as 18 ml transported then to Turin with exceptional loads.
