Renovation of a wing at the University of Sheffield

Total weight: 45,000 Kg

Implementation period: 2018

This was a renovation of a wing at the University of Sheffield (in Britain).
The supply commissioned to Bertazzon by Waagner Biro is for all the columns that extend from the ground level to the roof to support it. Because the roof has an undulating shape, the columns are also irregular and all different from each other.

What they have in common, however, is that they are made with a triangular cross-section, with branches at the top that are also triangular in cross-section: in fact, their shape is reminiscent of stylized trees each with its own branches.
