Metal structures within a redevelopment and transformation project into a shopping/office center
Implementation period: 2018
The metal structures were built for Permasteelisa Spa, as part of the project to redevelop and convert this historic building located on the River Liffey quay in Dublin into a shopping/office center.
The material produced by Bertazzon involved both the provision of substructures to support facades that are no longer visible after completion of assembly-so for this made of carbon steel with suitable protective paint-and functional parts of the building that are clearly visible and therefore of high aesthetic value, such as stringcourses and sunshades. All these elements were made of stainless steel with surface satin finish.
Finally, the special element of the project was the entrance portal, which is a structure also made of stainless steel that, with profiles built in a box shape, goes around the perimeter of the old facade, creating a kind of transparent space. These elements have a special mirror polished surface finish.
