Bridge Reconstruction in Nevegal
Nevegal - Col Toront Valley (BL)
Reconstruction of the structure
Total weight: 30,000 Kg
Implementation period: 2025
For the City of Belluno, which commissioned the work, Bertazzon carried out the reconstruction of the bridge that crosses the incision called the Col Toront valley. The current bridge is used as a pedestrian walkway with possible transit of light vehicles and as a ski slope during the winter season.
While maintaining the current span of 18 m, the remaking of the structure is aimed at adjusting both its width (which will reach a net span of 6.5 m) and its load-bearing capacity (currently limited to the transit of vehicles weighing less than 9 t), which will be increased to allow the transit of a 40 t vehicle, in case it is necessary to carry out forestry or maintenance work on the upstream lifts and shelters.
After then dismantling the old deck, Bertazzon was responsible for retrofitting the concrete abutments and installing the new corten steel beams and wood flooring.
Particularly challenging were the site logistics, which saw the company operating at a medium-high elevation and in an area accessible only by a winding agro-silvo-pastoral road.
